Across Slovakia on bike
There is no better way to explore a place than by bike. In honour of our favourite two-wheeled travel companion, here are some tips aroung the Bratislava´s region that should be on every cyclist´s wishlist.
Small carpathian wine route
Small Carpathian Wine Route connects many fenomens - wine, country, history and gastronomy of big region which is located between Bratislava and Trnava on south-west of Slovakia. There are three more but smaller cities which are intervene between them: Pezinok, Modra and Svatý Jur. All of this cities were in past announced as a royal city. They got this title in 17th century thanks for their production of high-class wine.
Across water meadow of the river morava
This practically flat route runs on pleasant asphalt roads. It coincideswith the instructive trail on the flood plain of the Morava from the Castle of Devín as fas as the village Vysoká pri Morave. This stretch is ideal for the family trip and the boards of the instructive trail provide enough information about the environs and lankmarks. Is associates relax with sport in the pleasing landscape. The total length of the instructive trail is 21 km and contains 16 information boards.
Around the gabČíkovo dam - part of the international danube cycling route
Moderately demanding trip (because of its length of 92 kilometres) with a minimum elevation difference. It is a part of the International Danube Cycling Route and connects Bratislava with the weir of Hrušovo and Water Works of Gabčíkovo. The greatest attraction is doubtless the dam Gabčikovo and Danube dam at Čunovo with the stunning museum Danubiana Meulensteen Art Museum, which offers modern art exhibitions by Slovak and international artists.
